Partnering with Epho to install a cold storage renewable energy solution

Overview:

Cold storage facilities of any shape or size use large amounts of energy year round, as everything needs to be temperature controlled so that food quality standards are met.

Laverton Cold Storage is a family owned business which has operated since 1975, recently moving from North Geelong where they were situated for 37 years to metropolitan Melbourne, where they acquired a 5000-pallet temperature-controlled warehouse at Cherry Lane, Laverton North. As more and more clients became aware of their premium cold storage and blast freezing services, it became apparent that they needed further capacity.

In November 2015, construction of Laverton Cold Storage's state-of-the-art warehouse was completed at Foundation Road, Truganina. This 20,000-pallet Melbourne refrigerated storage facility has allowed the business to further expand their operation and evolve their cold storage solution.
